The need
Insurance journeys are slow and paper-heavy, with weeks of claims handling, repeated manual checks, and fraud found too late. The event brought together brokers and insurers to look at how technology could change that.
What I owned
The research and selection of AI tools and techniques, the design of the proposal, and presenting it live. The event was held on 31 July 2025 at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut, under the patronage of the Minister of Economy and Trade. It was organised with the Lebanese Insurance Brokers Syndicate and the Mediterranean federation of insurance brokers.
The solution
One white-label app for policyholders, built around a single seamless journey.
Key modules
Claims and FNOL
AI chat and voice agents available around the clock to report and process claims.
Damage assessment
The driver takes four photos. Computer vision tags damaged parts and calculates repair cost against write-off.
Document AI and OCR
Paperwork scanned and processed with no manual entry.
Fraud detection
Graph ML and anomaly scoring to stop fraud before money leaves the system.
Smart roadside assistance
AI-powered support that turns a roadside emergency into a guided, self-service experience.
Personalised policies
A single multi-line policy tailored to each customer, with zero-trust security across the app.
Results
This was a research proposal and no system was built. The impact figures are projections presented to the audience:
- 50–70% faster claims cycle time, with weeks shrinking to under 48 hours for straightforward cases.
- About 30% lower admin expense, with fewer human touches.
- About 60% higher customer satisfaction.
